Friday November 9th: Territory

Territory is a one-night multi-media visual arts and music event designed to serve as a laboratory for the examination of conscious perception placing an emphasis on process over product. Visitors to Territory will be prompted to use their body as a means to perceive surroundings thus encountering a sensory space of consciousness including both physical and emotional elements. Featuring the work of five emerging Toronto artists Territory will offer installation, sculpture, photography and drawing. With live sets by DJ MindField (Hip Hop), Onastic (Deep House) and QuasiMojo (Experimental Ambient). At the Este Gallery, 1867 Gerrard Street East 19+, PWYC. November 9-11th: Conthulha *new*

Primedia presents Conthulha: A tribute to HP Lovecraft, horror and fantasy. At the Toronto Airport Days Hotel (6257 Airport Road, Mississauga). Guests of honour: Rue Morgue Magazine featuring Publisher/Editor Rod Gudino, Tanya Huff (Author of Summon the Keeper and Valor's Choice) and Robert Charles Wilson (Author or Darwinia and The Chronoliths). Genesis P-Orridge's home. Featuring: Derek Jarman as a Temple Spokesman, Rev. Jim Jones, and a graphic display of a TOPY (Temple Ov Psychic Youth [sic]) ritual. A thoroughly disquieting exploration of sexuality, ritual and magick. At 240 minutes this video will screened on ambient monitors throughout the evening. November 15-18: The Sacred Voice Gallery Premier Exhibit

Featuring founding members Ian Pearson and John Wiles This first exhibit staged by the Sacred Voice Gallery at the finest gallery space in the Junction will begin a tradition of high calibre shows combining painting and sculpture. Sat. Nov. 24: Youth & Elder Goth Social Event Planning

This second meeting will be held at 2pm @ Paramount Theatre (259 Richmond Ave. W.). Anyone interested in being on the committee can contact Jenn Siva at jennsiva@hotmail.com or Sinn at sinntv@hotmail.com. Details of the committee's plans will be shared with both the TG and baby TG lists after our next meeting. The committees purpose is to coordinate an all-ages social & dance event for Goths between the ages of 14 and 114. The event is tentatively scheduled fer June 2002.
