Querkus are from Winnipeg, a very accomplished duo whose music could perhaps be described as ethereal progressive experimental gothic post-rock. It would very probably appeal to fans of Dead Can Dance, Legendary Pink Dots, Delerium, old Tori Amos, etc. Karen Dunham is a fantastic classically trained pianist who does the vocals and keyboards, and Edgar Ozolins is an art rock and progressive rock-insipired guitarist who adds everything from intricate chording and melodies to texture and atmosphere to the mix. They collaborate on the programming. Querkus has a 6-song CD EP called No Direction which represents but a smattering of their repertoire. Tues. Oct. 29th: The Haunted Streets of Downtown Toronto *new*

Walking Tours of Haunted Toronto and Toronto-Goth Present: The Haunted Streets of Downtown Toronto Tuesday, October 29th, 2002, 7pm- 9pm
In this tour, we make our way south of Bloor to visit several haunted sites. Featured on this tour are the ghoulish legends of ... the long dead museum curator who still stalks the halls, clad only in an ethereal nightshirt the devoted nun who is drawn to her compassionate duty from beyond the grave the angry, restless spirit who lives in one of Toronto's most famous haunted houses ... and many more!!
The final stop of this tour is one of the most notorious of Toronto's haunted buildings. Many on the tour have claimed to see the unusual at this final stop. This tour is approximately two full hours long.
Tours depart from the front steps of the ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM, located at 100 Queen's Park.
This is an ALL ages Events tour. Adults ... $7.00 High School Students ... $5.00 Children Under Age 8 can come for free (with adult supervision)
