SPAG (www.spagdetroit.com) was
born in May of 1999 , with their first stage show in 2000. Punk Glam and
rockabilly are their strong points, & they have strong roots in the goth
and industrial scene in Detroit.
The Girls, (Spagettes) are super talented, beautiful, campy, fun, friendly and
100% real! There are 2 new girls appearing for the Toronto show, which will be
the SPAG troupe's first venture outside of the Detroit area.
SPAG likes to blend traditional and modern aesthetics - i.e. - pasties and a
garter belt to the sounds of ACDC. They're trying to revive the old burlesque
traditions with a spicy dose of modern punk, rockabilly and glam.
With their burlesque, the art is in the tease - it's not what you show, it's
what you don't show. Expect lots of sly winks, wiggling hips, twirling pasties
and good old fashioned burlesque campiness!

Queen St. W.) Doors open @ 9pm and cover is only $5. 19+ only. Featuring
Detroits bastard son and bringer of sound pollution DJ SPAG and the sultry and
SIN-sational SPAGETTES: Sparkly Devil, Foxy Fearless, Jackie O, Lauren Cain,
Nicotina, Matrix, Ms.Behave and very special guest Shirley Taken.
