The Vatikan is run by the owner of the now closed Sanctuary Vampire Sex Bar. It was first open to the public (although renovations were not quite done) on Saturday October 28th 2000 (for our news releases around this time, click here, or follow these 2 direct links: [1] or [2].

Read the reviews on The Vatikan to see what your fellow club-goers think about the place.

The Vatikan was open on a permanent basis starting on June 1st 2001.

In 2005, The Vatikan switched formats, and became a live music venue. See related TG news item. Note, most bands that perform at the Vatikan are not within the goth/industrial genre, see website for listings. The only goth/industrial night at the club is the weekly 'return to the catacombs' on Sunday nights.

The Vatikan will closed it's doors in the early morning hours of July 3rd 2006, making July 2nd the last night it was be open. See news item for more info.
