Not so fun
|
Greetings all at toronto-goth.I was always attracted to the outside decor of
the bovine sex club, and one night I ventured in. I ordered a drink and took a
spot right on the back bar. After some time had passed I was suprised to see
the gang from Rue-Morgue magazine wander in. They grabbed a spot at the middle
of the bar and then it turned into a photo-shot. I have met Rod and his
companions and they seemed very nice. But from what I saw they seemed to be
attention getters. It seemed like they thought they were the only patrons of
this establishment that mattered. The next few minutes was filled with flashes
from their various digitail cameras. I figured id say hello but was pushed
aside by some short bald fellow. Then when I tried to buy another drink I was
ignored by one of the bartenders. I figured enough of this crap. I was sadly
disappointed by the glitterati fanfare shown by the attention starved
Rue-Morgue gang and the ignorant over tipped bar-maid. From now on shall I
spend my hard earned green-backs at the Vatikan where everybody is gald to see
you and not attention starved.

Who doesn't like the Bovine?
|
Located in between Savage Garden, and the Velvet Underground at 542 Queen West,
the Bovine has been around awhile, and has it's usual crowd of followers. The
location is fantastic, and although the size of the bar prevents dancing, it's
good for a live show every once in awhile, and a good place to go for drinks
and to meet up with friends. There's always a good variety of tunes being
played by the various DJ's, and every night is different. It's also a safe
haven where you don't have to deal with gino assholes, or various other queen
street tourists. . Bovine is a great getaway from the usual club scene,
where you can hear some classic goth/punk/alternative tunes (depending on the
night).
