The
Toronto Humane Society has 34+ wonderful rats available for adoption. Most are
black, brown or grey, some are hooded and there is the odd white one. They like
to be handled and are one year old or less so they will make great companions.
Most are bonded so there will be no trouble if someone adopts two. The
population is approximately 50% male and 50% female. They have been kept
separated so there will be no surprise pregnancies. These great rats will
likely not make it on to the THS website so it is best to go to 11 River St
between 11-7 and enquire in the small animals area. The only fee is a
"pay-what-you-can" donation to the
THS.
