Torontos best Halloween bash back for eighth year
Toronto, CANADA Get ready for the return of Torontos
premiere Halloween event as Toronto celebrates the eighth anniversary of RUE
MORGUE, Canadas original horror publication, now an online radio show and
major North American genre festival. On Saturday October 29, Rue Morgue rings
in Halloween with GRAVEYARD A GO-GO (Saturday October 29 at The Church
at Berkeley, 315 Queen St. East. Doors open at 8 PM), its a
highly-acclaimed Halloween event that GoMad.com calls an annual romp
through the annals of mummery and madness entertainment in
extremis.
Sponsored exclusively by PARADOX
ENTERTAINMENT GROUP and ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT, GRAVEYARD A GO-G0
will feature a mixture of dark carnival macabre and fifties pin-up chic
featuring The Mad Science of Dr. Faustus, Psycho Sex Burlesque, The Sinister
Sounds of Placentapede and, of course, The Rue Morgue Go-Go Ghouls.
Accompanying the nights festivities will be an all nite Horror Hop
courtesy of DJ LaMort & Tomb Dragomir, plus horror flix in The Passion Pit,
a slew of ghastly giveaways; and our infamous Midnite Costume Contest; which
produces some of the best costumes ever seen by human eyes, (many of which are
developed months in advance) for this exclusive Halloween event.
The real show is the crowd itself, remarks Rue Morgue
founder and editor Rod Gudino. Expect an unusual gaggle of oozing
zombies, leering devils and painfully beautiful vampires to be in
abundance.
Tickets are $20 and are available directly from
www.rue-morgue.com, The Rue Morgue House of
Horror (2926 Dundas Street West, Toronto weekdays 10-6 PM) or at the
door the night of the event.
RUE MORGUE has much to celebrate; 2005
marked the opening of The Rue Morgue House of Horror, a funeral home purchased
by the magazine and converted into an events theatre for all things macabre.
The magazines second annual Festival of Fear Canadian National Horror
Expo was also a huge success, attracting 30,000+ fans to meet world-renowned
horror icons the likes of Clive Barker, Elvira, Crispin Glover, Tony Todd and
many more.
RUE MORGUE is also Canadas leading magazine of horror
entertainment. Its glossy mainstream look and intelligent yet biting editorial
have made it hugely popular with a widespread international readership. RUE
MORGUE Magazine is distributed across Canada, the United States and the UK and
is published bi-monthly by the Canadian company Marrs Media Inc.
PARADOX
